GROW WITH US….

Become a Food Northwest Industry Member

£200 (Plus VAT) per annum

At Food Northwest we want to help the region’s thriving food and drink sector to become even bigger and more successful.

That means helping businesses like yours to grow and prosper.

Our annual membership scheme is open to any food and drink business based in the Northwest of England, and provides a wide range of practical benefits, with costs equating to just £16.60 per month:

Develop your business

We provide up-to-the minute market intelligence, ranging from alerts from the Chilled Food Association and the Food and Drink Federation, to the very latest regional, national and European tenders.

We manage a busy programme of ‘Meet the Buyer’ events to help you find new market opportunities. These include training and development support, to ensure your business can meet the supplier criteria set by national retailers.

For companies with up to £10 million turnover, we provide valuable access to market intelligence from the IGD, including: monthly hot topic reports; unlimited access to retail analysis and specially selected research reports; and access to workshops.

Get networking

We believe that effective networking can reap real rewards for food and drink businesses, so we help our members to create business relationships, share information and raise their profile. Our members can access a directory of regional food and drink companies, and service providers, and attend a wide range of events run by us and our partners, either free of charge or at discounted rates.

Build your skills

At Food Northwest we are committed to helping our members grow and improve their businesses through improving the skills and expertise of their workforce.  We provide access to specialist training, provided by us and our partners, and can signpost members to wider services, helping them save time sourcing quality support. We have a sound working relationship with Business Link, Train to Gain and others, helping businesses source both funding and training expertise.

We are also developing a package of commercial skills training specifically for the food and drink sector, as part of our drive to help businesses improve their bottom line through increased efficiency and profitability.

Raise your image and profile

We include member news in our regular e-bulletins and publicise news and member profiles on our website, which currently receives around 1.7 million ‘hits’ per year. We also distribute a biannual glossy magazine ‘Blend’, which is sent out to 5,000 readers directly and via email.  We work with the media on specialist features, and to publicise news on behalf of the industry.

We provide support at trade shows and consumer events, and our members can use the Food Northwest logo in their marketing material.

The highlight of the year is the annual Northwest Food Awards, an event which takes place every June and achieves widespread publicity for short-listed companies as well as winners. The 2008 awards attracted an audience of over 300 people, including some of the most influential in the industry, and the accompanying media coverage generated over 4,000,000 ‘opportunities to see’ in regional and trade press.

Joining food Northwest costs just £200.00 (+ vat) per year.
