We are very proud to be the seventh generation still producing the original Morecambe Bay Potted Shrimp in the heart of Morecambe.  Baxters is one of the oldest, if not the oldest family firm in Morecambe.  The family arrived in the district in the 1600's. and in the early days combined farming with fishing.  The fishing side of the business grew with Morecambe and Baxters founded in 1799 by James Baxter.  We have been potting shrimps for 200 years.  We have never altered the basic process and secret original recipe, and by using only the best raw materials in hygienic conditions, we achieve a consistently high quality product.  We are specialists in the mail order service and strive to achieve 100% satisfaction for the customers.  Baxters Potted Shrimps can be ordered via the web site or by telephone.  Our potted shrimps are produced in 57g, 100g and 200g cartons and are dispatched fresh, daily to individuals and catering establishments alike, across the UK.  We also supply top quality king and queen scallops, smoked salmon and other smoked products.
