Fareshare is a national charity which re-distributes wholesome and in-date foodstuffs to needy groups throughout Great Britain.

Emerge, which is the Manchester and Northwest franchise holder is a social enterprise which offers sustainable waste management services, including recycling, re-use, education and consultancy services.

Emerge-Fareshares' aim is to ensure the ethical disposal of as much surplus food as possible, by forming links both locally and nationally, thus ensuring that surplus food is actually eaten and by those in greatest need.
